There was much excitement in Swindon this week as the Health Hydro became shrouded in scaffolding – a signal that the Phase 1 works have finally begun.
The scaffolding will enable much needed repairs to the brick and stonework, guttering and windows along the Faringdon Road frontage.
Meanwhile, inside, after many months of surveys and asbestos removal, works to replace the failing plant equipment, provide new, modern changing rooms and refurbish the Washing Baths Hall (to house the Reception and gym) are also getting started.
